If you are watching a movie, listening to music, or looking at marvelous art, it draws all your attention and disperses all your distractions. You find a pause in your emotions.

That pause in emotions brings clarity over thoughts—a priceless mental piece, the focus of a mindful monk. Art acts like meditation in a world full of distractions.
